After Watchmen - Suvudu - Science Fiction and Fantasy Books, Movies, and Games

If you're unsure what to read after Watchmen (probably not. If you're like me you have a stack of unread stuff) DC wants to help. They've compiled a list of what they consider to be graphics novels and comics that you should read. The list includes Fables, Transmetropolitan (in fact, most of Warren Ellis's non-mainstream work), and many others.

Heh. My entire commentary on Transmetropolitan, which I regret having bought, was "Spider Jerusalem is no Walter Kovacs".

I need to go pick up the sixth graphic novel of Preacher this week. I don't think I'm ready to read sandman again just yet. I should be reading transmetropoliton. I can't find the first graphic novel of swamp thing now that everyone is buying moore stuff. Lastly, if you don't mind this reverse order, which Batman is that? Fable something?

I'll direct you to the wikipedia entry:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fables_(Vertigo)

The story, created and written by Bill Willingham, has real-life fables living in our world as refugees from another magical world. It is, in my opinion, very well done and I recommend it.

Oh, and the batman shown here appears to be from "Justice" vol.1 according to the site. If you go to the site, each panel opens a different, but often overlapping, set of comics.
