Exploding cat takes centre stage in gory Ottawa play

For those of you in Ottawa, Gladstone Theatre presents The Lieutenant of Inishmore, completely with 5 litres of fake blood and an exploding cat. No, I haven't seen the play.

The publicist for the play said the point they are driving home is that "Killing is for nothing" and want the audience to be uncomfortable about what they are seeing. It remains to be seen how well that works. The story's about an Irish terrorist getting revenge for the killing of his cat.
