I'm cleaning up images from the queue so I'll be posting 10 per day, hidden behind and LJ cut for the bandwidth-challenged.

Center of the Milky Way galaxy, known as Sagittarius A*, is believed to be home to a massive black hole.
High-tech swimsuit, known as the LZR Racer bodysuit. Swimmers using the suit are breaking records, prompting questions of whether the suit might be adding too much of a technological advantage to "have" nations. One thinks that a simple solution would be to return to the original idea of the Olympics in which all participants were naked. Problem solved, and viewership would skyrocket.
Stanford University is making its Bassett Anatomical Image Collection online. Not for the squeamish.
Kit-In Box for people who can't say "Down!" to their cats. This from the person who lets his cat sit on his lap as he attempts to work online.
The Hip Office, means never, ever, leaving your desk. Great for those temp employees who have deadlines to meet but haven't been assigned a cubicle, or the cubicle is only big enough to work standing up.
24-barrel rubber band minigun. Click on the image to follow the link to a video of the Disintegrator in action.
Suction-cup webcam. The design may not have been completely thought through, which with loosing a portion of your screen.
Robo-Lobster landmine detection system.
Steak toaster. Really, it's a toaster designed to cook steak.
Gravity-powered lamp. Can be run for 8 hours a day for 200 years, never requiring batteries. So far, the device has not been marketted, but I'm sure the student who designed it will correct that eventually.

I wish I had more info on that lamp... but one thing is for sure, it isn't powered by gravity, it's powered by the potential energy of the mass being converted ;)

robot lobster? It's a well known fact that lobster sticks to magnet!

To which I reply: there would be no potential energy without the gravitational field. Smart ass ;) Still, it's a cool design and has the potential of reducing the amount on externally-powered household lighting.

You spend FAR too much time on YouTube.
