Obama wants an America more like Canada - According to this Financial Post article (found on Rick Mercer's Blog), some of the initiatives proposed by Obama would result in an America with much more in common with Canada. For example, he wants universal health care, equal access to education, and for the U.S. to refocus military objectives on teaming up with other countries to restore peace in troubled nations.

They contend that Canada can bring extensive mining expertise the to table, positioning them for contracts to mine oxygen, helium, and titanium from the moon's crust. If you feel that you could carry out such a study, you have until March 7th to get your bid in.
US has achieved 7 steps toward a revolution - This article, found on Warren Ellis's Blog (WARNING: occasionally not worksafe) discusses how the United States as achieved, to some extent, each of the seven preconditions for a revolution to occur. Whether or not you agree with it, the article could make good fodder for political discussion.
