I'm cleanup up a bunch of archived images and stories. This post is all on imaging of various sorts, under a cut to avoid taking over your friends list.

The National Museum of Public Health is following the LoC's lead and putting their historical medical photos online. The archive starts at http://www.flickr.com/photos/99129398@N00 but more are being uploaded all the time.

Make your own stereoscopic images with this $120(US) accessory. It splits the image into stereo pairs that can be viewed with software that accompanies the product. Personally, I'd use it to actually generate a 3D rendering, but that's just me.
Speaking of images, recent research has revealed that t-rays (terahertz rays) could be used to detect pencil sketches under paintings without damaging the artwork. They can also be used to detect coloured paints and graphite under plaster, allowing hidden artworks to be discovered.
A biomedical engineer from the University of Southern California suggests that a better approach to a bionic eye is to implant the camera into the lens, then transmitting the information to a chip at the back of the eye which then sends the information to the optic nerve
