As of today (January 1), US airlines are restricting the carrying of lithium batteries. For batteries of 8 grams or larger, the battery must be in the device it is designed for and it must be included in carry-on luggage, not placed in checked baggage. You are allowed to carry one spare if placed in a plastic bag and it must also be part of carry-on baggage. If the batteries are smaller than 8 grams then you can have as many as you can fit in a plastic bag to include with your carry-on luggage. |
