Miracle fruit to sweeten a sour ending to 2008

I had never heard of Miracle fruit before. Apparently, the fruit is able to trick the taste buds into responding to sour tastes by signaling that they are sweet. A grower in Florida is attempting to create a market for the fruit and sells both fresh and dried versions of the fruit online.

If you were one of the lucky owners of a 30Gb Zune, you probably discovered that, at noon December 31st, that the player locked up. The problem was a fault in the clock driver and can be fixed by letting the battery completely discharge, then allow the player to restart.

Study links mammoth extinction, comets - USATODAY.com

A study published in the journal Science links nanodiamond crystals found at six sites around North America to a comet swarm that may have struck the earth 12,900 years ago, resulting in a continent-wide wildfire that brought the North-American megafauna and the Clovis people to extinction, as well as triggering an ice age. The proposal is not completely accepted by scientists who suggest that further study is required.
