Starving aging brain of glucose may trigger Alzheimer's: study
Researchers have discovered that a reduction in blood flow to the brain starves it of glucose, leading to it forming sticky clumps of protein that are the hallmark of Alzheimers. The believe that exercise, reducing cholesterol intake, and keeping your blood pressur ein check is the best way to ensure that the brain gets the energy that it needs.

A university professor and his graduate student have discovered that teeth can be protected from cavities by superfine polishing using silica nanoparticles, a technique used regularly by the semiconductor industry.
