Grab bag o' stuff
Oct. 27th, 2008 08:23 pmThings are finally starting to slow down so here's a mixed bag of stuff.
For those in Ottawa, here is a link to live traffic webcams.
How to handle an employee review, courtesy of the International Society of Supervillians.
The FBI's guide to Weapons of Mass Destruction, as featured on Improbable Research.
Extended Trailer for Watchmen on Spike. Very cool, and it comes out just before my birthday.
Bruce Campbell plays himself in a new movie, My Name is Bruce, in which he is kidnapped by a fan to fight real demons. Due out sometime in October. A one-shot comic book was released in September, presenting the story from a different perspective (sample pages are available at the link).
Frank Miller's "The Spirit", is due for release on December 25th and features Samuel Jackson as the lead villain. Follow the link to see the trailer.
This month, DC releases Brian Azzarello's "Joker" that appears from the few pages shown at the link to handle the Joker much like Heath Ledger did, as an absurdly violent psychopath.
The Dead Sea Scrolls come to the Royal Ontario Museum in June 2009. Looks like I'll be making a late summer trip to the city. Meanwhile, this month they open an exhibit on diamonds. The exhibit runs until mid-March so there will probably also be a late-winter visit as well.
What would happen if Superman decided to clean up Gotham? CollegeHumour answers the question.
