Light saber duels
Jun. 15th, 2008 11:08 pmI volunteered to participate in some sword-fighting scenes for a Star Wars fan film. It's been a while since I did choreographed sword-work, and this looked like it could be fun.
For my own reference, here are some links to fan-generated light-saber duels.
The famous Ryan vs Dorkman - If you look closely, you'll notice the footwork is classical fencing, as well as Dorkman's tendency to hold his hand behind him.
Part 2 of Ryan vs Dorkman - Having the sabers cut through he things they are fighting around was a nice touch.
Art of the Saber - Two skilled swordfighters in a video that even has a backstory. Very pretty.
Making of Art of the Saber - Footage of the Ho brothers practicing the choreographed sequence used in the final video.
lightsaber gymnastics - An interesting twist on gymnastics.
Stephen Colbert light saber battle - Three words: WTF?
Ok, not a video but still neat - how to build a steampunk light saber.
If you know of any clips to add to this, feel free to post them in the comments.
