According to this article, the gene for red hair is recessive and present in only 4 percent of the population. They believe that by 2100 there will be virtually no natural red heads remaining in the human population. I'm not sure about this, but it is an interesting theory.

The HyperBike is a bicycle prototype that uses a combination of arm and leg power to achieve speeds of up to 50 mph. Because of the high stability of the bike, NASA is interested in using it in low-gravity environments as an alternative form of transportation.

Pluggd is an audio-search program that allows you to search podcasts for key words. It is hoping to do for audio searching what Google has done for textual searching. You can check it out for yourself at http://www.pluggd.com/.

This restaruant literally leaves you in the dark. Pitch Black is a new restaurant that opened in December where all forms of light are forbidden. Food is searched by night-vision clad servers and the food is eaten in complete darkness. The theory is that by starving one sense the others are heightened.
