http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/national/2006/09/06/bush-prisons.html?ref=rss - President Bush has admitted that the CIA has secret prisons for terror suspects in the US and other countries such as Afganistan, Cuba and Thailand. He says maintaining these prisons is critical to the "war on terror" and has lead to the prevention of a second major attack on the US. He has refused to describe the interrogation techniques used, only stating that they were "tough and safe and lawful and necessary". This admission comes because the suspects have been questionned and are now ready to be prosecuted in military tribunals.
