Gadgets: The Napkin PC

This concept PC takes the idea of scribbling an idea on a napkin a step farther by making the "napkin" a touch-sensitive e-paper sheet RF-linked to a nearby receiver as shown in this image. The base station can then be linked to a regular computer so that multiple base stations can be linked. Multiple napkins can be linked to make a larger writing surface. The RF link is inductive so the napkin doesn't need a transmitter, and using e-paper means the display is passive, not active so requires minimal power.

Gadgets: XYXX condom case

The XYXX condom case is described as what contraceptives would look like if they were designed by Apple. My wife noted that it looked kind of like a guillotine. Either way, seems an effective form of birth control.

Tech: Chocolate-flavoured strawberries

A company in Tokyo has discovered a new way to add value to fruits and vegetables by first freeze-drying them, then rehydrating them with fortified water or other substances. For example, they replaced the water in a freeze-dried strawberry with white chocolate. On a healthier (and less decadent) note, they plan to rehydrate foods with water containing additional vitamins and/or minerals.
