Imaging: 3D and otherwise
For those who may not be aware (very few of you), my area of research is in 3D imaging, specifically making laser range scanners work more effectively. Here's a bunch of imaging articles from the feeds.

I've seen similar systems for paratroopers, including one where you have a headset (looks similar to the second-last pic but more like sunglasses) so you can see what's happening but they also provide you with handy 'turn this way to hit your landing mark' arrows.
