NASA global warming satellite lands in ocean after launch

When I went to write my summary of this article, I was planning to ask when the conspiracy theorists would start (the destruction of the satellite being, of course, a plot by [insert group here] to [support/deny] the existence of global warming evidence). Reading the comments on the news article, I see that I am too late. Apparently (according to at least one commenter) this is all a plot by someone to cover up global warming and encourage more oil use. Or something like that. Feel free to come up with a better conspiracy theory.
